Arlington St Church

The present Arlington Street Church was constructed between 1859 and 1861, the first public building on newly-filled land in Boston’s Back Bay. The Tiffany windows in the church are famous for their beauty of design and execution and are believed to be the largest collection in any one church.

Arlington Street Church is located at the corner of Arlington and Boylston streets in the Back Bay, directly across from the Public Garden.

By Car
Take Storrow Drive to the Copley Square exit. Bear left and proceed on Arlington Street to Boylston Street.

By Subway
Take any MBTA Green Line train to the Arlington T stop.

By Bus
Bus Nos. 9, 39, 55, 59, 504 & 553 stop at the corner of Arlington Street and St. James Ave, and Bus Nos. 9 & 55 stop at the corner of Boylston and Berkley streets. Both stops are one block away from the church.

The closest parking garage is the Back Bay Garage which has entrances on St. James Ave and Clarendon Street. Weekend rates: $12 for up to 1 hour, $16 for up to 2 hours, and $22 daily max (exit by 5 am). You my also park at the Boston Common Garage and walk across the Public Garden to the Church. Weekend rates: $10 up to 1 hour, $14 for up 3 hours, and $18 daily max (exit by 8 am).
