BCMS’s annual Chamber Music Workshop for Mixed Ensembles welcomes intermediate and advanced mixed chamber groups (trios, quartets, quintets and sextets). Only pre-formed groups may apply. Participation is limited to eight groups which will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Coaches include cellist Joshua Gordon, clarinetist Thomas Hill, pianist Max Levinson, and violist Marcus Thompson.

Tuition covers coaching, breakfast, lunch and refreshments and is based on the size of your group:

  • trio & quartet: $140 pp
  • quintet & up: $125 pp

Tuition is non-refundable.

Location   The workshop will take place at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, on its main campus with outstanding music facilities.

Applications must be received by February 12, 2016. Participants should include on the application the name of the work that has been selected for study. These may be complete works or individual movements (e.g., Mozart Piano Quartet in E-flat , K. 493; 1st and 2nd movements of Beethoven String Quartet in B-flat, Op. 130).
