BCMS’s annual Chamber Music Workshop for Mixed Ensembles welcomes intermediate and advanced mixed chamber groups (trios, quartets, quintets and sextets). Only pre-formed groups may apply. Participation is limited to eight groups which will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Coaches include clarinetist Thomas Hill, violist Marcus Thompson, cellist Astrid Schween, and pianist Randall Hodgkinson.
Tuition covers coaching, breakfast, lunch and refreshments and is based on the size of your group:
- trio & quartet: $140 pp
- quintet & up: $125 pp
Location The workshop will take place at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, on its main campus with outstanding music facilities.
Applications must be received by March 8, 2013. Participants should include on the application the name of the work that has been selected for study. These may be complete works or individual movements (e.g., Mozart Piano Quartet in E-flat , K. 493; 1st and 2nd movements of Beethoven String Quartet in B-flat, Op. 130).
