The best musicians are life-long learners. At BCMS we work with musicians of all ages, coaching chamber music and exploring new topics in depth through a variety of events. Check back throughout the year for new discussions and events.

Our blog Musically Speaking previews each concert with history and personal stories to help broaden our understanding of the program. Click here for the latest posts and revisit last season’s memorable discussions. Comments and questions are always welcome on the blog!

The annual Chamber Music Workshop for mixed ensemble is a daylong event in which BCMS musicians coach pre-formed amateur ensembles at intermediate and advanced levels. Visit the Workshop page for information on this season’s big event.

The Winter Forum, started in the 2009-10 season, is a new tradition for BCMS. Through the month of January, BCMS partners with MIT and other local organizations to study one topic in depth in the hopes of achieving a greater understand and appreciation for the music featured on the January concert and throughout the year. Forum archives can be found here. Check back soon for details on the 2013 Winter Forum.
