Leaving stage after performance

The thrilling experience of chamber music we bring to you and our community costs more than we can earn in ticket sales. To sustain our artistic level of excellence, we rely on donations from individuals, foundations and corporations. YOU can make a difference.

With your support, we can fulfill our mission, continue to increase our artistic quality, and remain New England’s preeminent repertory ensemble for chamber music. Your investment in the growth and development of excellence within BCMS will pay dividends for years to come.

There are many additional ways you can support BCMS. If you wish to consider the following opportunities, please contact Wen Huang, Managing Director, by phone (617.349.0086) or email.

Commissioning Club | Underwriting | Planned Giving | Corporate Sponsorship | Support our Endowments | In-kind Contributions

Commissioning Club

The Commissioning Club helps BCMS to actively contribute to the creation of our art in our time. Since its launch in the 2013-14 season, one new work written for BCMS has been programmed each season. By joining the Commissioning Club with a three-year pledge of at least $250 per individual or $500 per couple per year, you provide an ongoing funding base which allows us to engage composers and prepare their work for presentation. The Commissioning Club members would be invited to be the first to hear the work as it is prepared for premiere on our series, and to enter a dialog with our composer and musicians at private events. Underwriting

If you prefer to consider a more targeted approach for contributing to BCMS, one that will also give you greater visibility, listed below are some of the underwriting opportunities BCMS suggests for funding specific aspects of our series. BCMS performances feature our member musicians along with special guests, giving our audiences the chance to hear some of the most exciting emerging musicians and established artists. You will be credited on our website, in our programs and, if possible and appropriate, in our PR and marketing materials.

BCMS offers many support levels:

  • $2,500 to underwrite the appearance of a BCMS member musician or guest artist.
  • $5,000 to underwrite the production cost or performance of a specific work.
  • $12,000 to underwrite one entire performance.

PLANNED GIVING

Today, many people are looking for opportunities to keep on giving to their favorite arts organizations long after they are gone. This can be accomplished through a plan to gift to BCMS. As part of the long-range planning process, Boston Chamber Music Society has a planned giving circle aimed at taking BCMS into the future. We are grateful to those who have joined the Legacy of Excellence Circle by notifying BCMS that it is a beneficiary in their will, living trust, deferred gift plan or retirement plan.

Corporate Sponsorship

Support one of the nation’s preeminent chamber ensembles and put your company in front of a high echelon group of Bostonians.

Corporations have the opportunity to be a sponsor of a specific artist, concert, series or special event depending on the level of support. Sponsors enjoy special benefits and recognition from media exposure to opportunities for client/employee entertaining and hospitality. All corporate sponsorship packages are designed to maximize your corporate objectives and marketing strategies.

SUPPORTING OUR ENDOWMENTS

As a non-profit organization, BCMS’s financial security and long-term stability rests on the strength of its endowment. A strong endowment provides an income stream that allows us to meet our commitments and plan for the future without interruption. It allows us to run a world-class chamber music society, maintain excellent community initiatives, and offer outstanding concerts year-round. BCMS’s endowment funds provide the financial resources to help the Society fulfill its mission.

IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS

You can also support BCMS with a wide array of non-cash donations. These items/services can be donated to BCMS as a tax-deductible in-kind contribution. Below are items and services that would be of great use to us:

  • Airline frequent flyer mileages
  • Housing / accommodations for musicians
  • Rehearsal space
  • Hosting special event

Boston Chamber Music Society is a non-profit corporation, recognized under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. Gifts made to BCMS are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
