LOUIS H. HAMEL, JR. SUMMER SERIES, 2009

Four Saturdays in August
Pickman Hall, Longy School of Music, Cambridge

HAYDN AND BRAHMS

The Hamel Summer Series brings vibrant, incisive chamber music to the city. There is a stellar line-up of musicians joining BCMS members at 8 p.m. each Saturday in August. This summer each concert will start with a work by Joseph Haydn to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his death. Each performance will also feature a piece by Brahms who, in the height of the Romantic era, always considers himself a disciple of the Classicism developed by Haydn.
